eXperiBot arena

Print your own eXperiBot Arena.

eXperiBot Explorer in a 3D-printed arena with white and red barriers.

This project is compatible with all eXperiBot sets.

A 3D printer is required for this unit.

Notes

  • We recommend PLA Basic as the printing material.

  • Before printing, keep in mind that the curves only work in one direction—if you need a curve going the opposite way, use the inverted version.

  • Simply slide your barrier parts together.

  • Depending on the surface, your eXperiBot may push the barrier away when it drives against it. To prevent this, there are small recesses on the underside of each barrier where you can glue rubber or cork feet to give your barriers better traction.

  • You can print your barriers in any color you like. Combining different colors will make your arena more varied, and you can also test whether the Multisensor recognizes the color of the barrier.

  • Black barriers are difficult to detect for the infrared sensors because black absorbs infrared light instead of reflecting it—so your eXperiBot will likely drive into them.

Hints

The following pieces are sufficient for a small arena:

Your arena doesn’t have to be rectangular!
